16 Trustees Room S erving primarily as the gathering place of the Library's Board of Trustees, this private room is not available to the public at any time. It is, however, available for rental events. Once inside, guests are greeted by a warm, intimate space that gives the feeling of a fine turn- of- the- century drawing room. Among the beautiful features this room has to offer are the four exquisite seventeenth- century Flemish tapestries that adorn the walls and the magnificent marble fireplace where one will find an inscribed quotation from Thomas Jefferson. The Trustees Room is perfect for intimate cocktail parties, business meetings, readings, press conferences, and luncheons. © Adam Bartos

17 Celeste Bartos Education Center South Court Auditorium T he Library's South Court building, a modern, six- story glass structure that rises within the southern courtyard, was opened in 2002. South Court is the first above- ground structure added to the landmark building since its opening in 1911. The auditorium is located on the lower level of South Court and features multimedia and Webcast capabilities and seating for 177 people.
